The International Association of Empirical Aesthetics (IAEA) offers travel awards for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to attend the IAEA Congress in Jena from 5th – 8th May 2026 selected through an additional application process.
- Deadline for receipt of travel award applications is 27 February 2026
- Applications should be sent by e-mail to the Secretary General: Ed Vessel | secretary@iaea-aesthetics.org
Requirements
- Applicants must be members or student members of the IAEA.
- Applicants must be PhD\Master students or postdoctoral fellows.
- Applicants should be the first author of an accepted abstract.
Application documents
- PhD students: proof of actively pursuing a PhD (e.g. enrolment certificate, supervisor statement)/ Postdocs: proof of employment as postdoctoral fellow (e.g. formal letter by supervisor)
- The accepted abstract.
- Breakdown of the proposed costs (up to €1000)
- A statement that the applicant will not receive duplicate funding for all or part of the travel expenses from their institution in case they receive an IAEA award.
